Cartagena vs Paris

CARTAGENA

(Formerly Cartagena de Indias), is the capital of the department of Bolivar in Colombia and the fifth city in the country in population and importance. Since 1991, Cartagena is a tourist and Cultural district. The city is located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea and is one of the epicenters tourist areas in Colombia and is the second-largest urban center in the Colombian Caribbean, after Barranquilla.
It was declared "World Heritage", and here are just some tourist sites among the many castles and churches that have.

The main entrance to the “Corralito de piedra”, as the Colombians called, the historical center is the Clock Tower or Boca Bridge, built over the wall in the nineteenth century, toward the outside wall of the tower overlooks the Getsemaní neighborhood and the Pegasos deck; inwards you can found the “Plaza de los coches” . The square is surrounded by large houses with wooden balconies and is chaired by the statue of Pedro de Heredia. Inside the city surrounded by wall, are many buildings that were made during the colonial era, as well as the “Casa del Marquéz del Premio Real”, the “Casa de la Aduana”, the church and convent of San Pedro, built in the seventeenth century by the Jesuits and where lie the remains of Peter Claver, one of the defenders of the cause of black people. There are also the current building of the Mayor and the Museum of Modern Art where there are exhibitions of Colombian artists.

Today the old city is surrounded by many sectors, such as the traditional island of "Manga", neighborhoods as "Castillogrande", "Laguito", "Bocagrande" "Pie de la Popa", "Crespo", "El bosque , "The Pozón", "Los Caracoles", "las Americas", "los Coralesr", among others where lives most of the population, or "Nelson Mandela", which is home to many of the displaced from the northern region of department of Bolivar.

PARIS

It is the capital of France. It is located in the north, bathed by the Seine. The city of Paris within their administrative boundaries has an estimated population of 2,167,994 inhabitants (January 2006). The agglomeration of Paris extends well beyond the administrative boundaries of the city and has a population of close to 9.93 million people (in 2005). The metropolitan area of Paris has a population of nearly 12 million people. The Paris region (Ile de France) is the main center of economic activity in France.

Places of interest
Champs Elysees (8th district; right bank) is a garden of the seventeenth century, converted to a large walk-avenue that connects the Concorde and the Arc de Triumph. It is one of many tourist attractions and one of the main shopping streets of Paris. This avenue has been called the "plus belle avenue du monde" (the most beautiful avenue in the world).
Avenue Montaigne (8th district), near the Champs Elysees, is home to luxury brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton (LVMH), Dior and Givenchy.
Place de la Concorde (8th district; right bank) is located at the foot of the Champs Elysees, was built in the 'Plaza Louis XV ", cradle of the famous guillotine. In both sides of the Rue Royale, there are two stone buildings: the eastern houses the French Naval Ministry; the west, the luxurious “Hotel de Crillon”. Nearby, Place Vendome is famous for its luxury and fashionable hotels (Ritz Hotel and Plaza Vendôme) and its jewelers. Many famous fashion designers have had their salons in the square.
